"Still I Rise" with Rev. Roxanne Buckle
April 21 - "Still I Rise" with Rev. Roxanne Buckle
In Still I Rise, Rev. Roxanne borrows inspiration from the poem by Maya Angelou of the same title, in which she speaks about the prejudices and injustices of being a black woman. Rev. Roxanne draws parallels to our own challenges of attempting to live from the knowing of our divine worth while faced with the reality of the human condition. In what ways does our conditioning, our being asleep to our true essence and our lack of understanding and acceptance of our shadow create the oppression of our divine identity. How do we apply the power of spiritual strength to acknowledge our own inner crucifixions, and pivot our consciousness so that we are truly experiencing a resurrection in consciousness in the face of ego opposition.
Here is her bio:
Currently in the role of Executive Director of Marketing at Unity Worldwide Ministries, Rev. Roxanne Buckle served Unity Spiritual Centre Ottawa for over ten years, six of those as Spiritual Leader. This Easter Sunday, Rev. Roxanne returns for her first speaking engagement at USCO since leaving on November 4, 2018. Rev. Roxanne is passionate about bringing spiritual teachings to life by authentically observing how the human experience becomes a classroom for us to evolve into the greatest expression of our divinity….if we can let go of our resistance, and accept that what is happening “to us” is really FOR us.
